At Sentiens, we approach product development using two lenses.
First, we use our scientific expertise and research capabilities to develop a clear understanding of how existing products in the target market work effectively. We focus on the core biological interactions in order to develop an expertise about those products. For example, in our first target market of tobacco, cigarettes and cessation, we built our understanding from the ground up of how cigarettes are addictive. Through that understanding, we developed expertise on how nicotine effects the body at all stages.
Second, we develop criteria and constraints for our product development. These are based on how the user experiences and interacts with the target product market, and is constrained by the requirement of ease and scale of manufacturing.
